In the article "One Proud Uncle" by Abmin, The main charater Mathew gets an email saying the governor will decide how much money each school gets based on test scores.  This matters to me because as a freshman, if I don't get good grades and good test scores, I will have a hard time getting into a good college.  This is important to education because you can't get through school and into a good college if your high school has limited income from the state.  If your school is doing poorly with test scores, they should get more money to help test scores improve.  Overall I found this article interesting because kids need to get higher test scores so they can get into higher level colleges.  Also since we have had budget cuts in LPS this makes me wonder, if we have better test scores, will we have fewer budget cuts next year?

Article Title and Author: "Douglas county accident sends four teens to hospital," Pankratz 

Four teens get in a car crash and get sent to two different hospitals with undisclosed wounds.  This matters because a horrible accident affected four innocent teens.  I feel sorry for them because they could have died.
This affects our school to make teenagers more aware of the dangers of not wearing a seatbelt. Arapahoe students, when they get their licenses, should know what to do on the road.

This connects to the world because car accidents happen all over the globe.  Some are severe and some are not, but you should always wear a seatbelt just in case something happens.  

Every single time you get in your car, always obey the laws of the road.  It's never too early to buckle up.

In " Welcome Sunday Telegragh and Daniel pink blog readers" By Karl Fisch this story is about instead of doing homework we do lectures in stead and two people were influnced to do this better than karl fisch.

Machines are using us in every way it can but whatever we click or hyperlink it will learn somthing about us and machines are just a form  messaging or talking to someone so if we stop using machines we will be alright.

In the short story "footprint in the Digital Age" by Will Richardson he is influencing us that whatever we do on the internet like blog, youtube videos, or even on facebook but whatever we do now will effect our future in college and in life.

In the movie "Rope" by Alferd Hitchcock Brendan and Phillip are influenced by a mans word that he said "If you are more powerful than a man than you can kill him" so Brendan and Phillip kill there best friend.

In Richard Connell's "Most Dangerous Game" Rainfords a hunter is influenced by the man on ship trap island that he is being hunted so now he gets fellings for the animals instead of considering them as no motionless creatures.

In David Brenner's "Fish Eyes" he glues fish eyes to his head to scare his sister but ends up choking on a flash light then he is influenced by his dad wants him to throw the fish eyes away or he will be eating them with tar.

I thought it was pretty cool that you could see mars just as good as you could see the moon and it will not be like that in the next 2878 thats not even in our life time. But I also know that it was fack because you had look through a telescope to se it.

My dog jake matters to me because he was are family pet and i would always see him when i get how from school.
My grandparents matter to me because they are aways there for me and the give me joy in life and the just help with anything like school life lessons old war storys that my grandpa was in.
Hunting matters to me because i have been doing it since i was five years old and its just fun to shot a gun once in a while.
My brother Tyler matters to me because he is helpful like to hang out with me and he is just a fun guy to be around like he is funny, smart and he nows how to cook a good meal.
Lastly my parents the matter to me because the are there no matter what if i need help they are there and they never let me down they are the coolest parents that i ever could have they are just cool

"A Vision of Students Today" by John Wesch this little program is about kids and what the do in class. Teenagers do stuff on there computer that there not supposed to be doing like Facebook or bogging. Teenagers should be doing there class work and not messing around.
